About The Event
Whether you’ve been wanting to create your own journal or wish to take part in the “Drawn From Here” journal project*, this full or half day workshop will see you enjoy the benefits of creating a journal for your own creative expression. Like an “active meditation” it allows for playful art creation and a way to delve into your own unique creative voice.

In this course, you will get as much personalised guidance as you need from a professional artist and tutor. I will help step you through the process so you can create your own art journal with confidence and fun.
Being a mixed media artist, I will help you find the perfect mediums and techniques for the images or text you wish to include.
You will be inspired by examples of amazing artists books, learn a range of amazing techniques and create a beautiful cohesive art book which will be a great reflection of your creativity.

*Drawn From Here is an annual art journal project, run by Katherine Appleby, sponsored by Sunset Framing and Gallery. The exhibition will feature over 50 art journals completed by locals living in Greater Port Macquarie. In this workshop you have the choice to create your own journal (just for you) or you can register and exhibit with the Drawn From Here Project at $35 pp* here
