Surprised, honoured and humbled ~ just some of my emotions as I heard my name called to receive the highly commended award for Excellence in Creative Industries.
I feel incredibly fortunate to help guide people into art and creativity and wish to thank all those who created with me and voted for me. A big thanks also to my dear Mum Anna. Many of you have met her at my Open Studios and Workshops. She also works behind the scenes, at times as researcher, ideas person, editor and technical supervisor (ie she rings to tell me when a social media link isn’t working!😩😄) She is also my definite go to during those times when, like most small business owners, we need that extra bit of encouragement!
A big shout out to the Wauchope Creative Hub, a well deserved winner with all the work they do for creatives in our area 💛
What a great night organised by the Wauchope Chamber Business and Awards Committee, it was clear a great deal of time and care had gone into it and the place looked amazing. The food was delicious, the music brilliant and the atmosphere was more than a little bit fancy!

The Wauchope Hinterland Community is filled with such genuine caring people, it’s growing in such beautiful ways and is truly unique. I feel so very lucky to be part of such a warm welcoming community 😊
